Payment Policy


  • Our Summer Camp has open, rolling registration; space is limited!

  • Registrations will not be processed without payment.
  • You may change the week your child is enrolled depending on availability.
  • Only registered and paid individuals may participate in class activities.
  • All required forms must be signed and submitted to the school office prior to the start of camp.


Refund Policy


  • 100% back if registration is cancelled 4 weeks before start
  • 75% back if registration is cancelled 3 weeks before start
  • 50% back if registration is cancelled 2 weeks before start
  • 25% back if registration is cancelled 1 week before start
  • NO REFUND if registration is cancelled less than 1 week prior to start of the session.
  • MISSED DAYS: No credits, refunds, or makeup for missed days, or times.


Cancellation Policy

Pope John Paul II Academy Summer Camp reserves the right to cancel a camp due to insufficient registration with full refunds and notification.

Camp Policies & Procedures


  • Children are not to bring cell phones, iPods, toys, electronic games or trading cards to the camp. The camp staff and the school are not responsible for any lost or stolen articles while your child is attending camp.
  • If your child will not be attending camp (due to illness, etc.) please inform the office prior to 9:00 a.m. The school phone number is (970) 249-2996.
  • If you are late in dropping your children off, it is your responsibility to walk them to the appropriate classroom.
  • You are more than welcome to visit your child at camp. However, we would appreciate a note indicating the day and time you would like to visit.
  • Pope John Paul II Academy Summer Camp does not provide snacks or lunch to participants. All participants are required to pack their own snacks and lunch (if staying for the Extended Day afternoon care). Participants are not allowed to share food or drinks.
  • Participants must abide by all Pope John Paul II Academy Summer Camp rules.
  • Timeouts may be given if a participant breaks a Summer Camp rule. Parents may be called if there is an ongoing issue, and the participant may be removed from class. Pope John Paul II Academy Summer Camp reserves the right to remove a participant if that child poses a safety threat to staff members or other participants. Children who exhibit repetitive poor behavior will be subject to dismissal from the camp. A refund will not be given. Parents will be notified of problems and encouraged to assist the camp staff in resolving the problems.
  • If your child has special needs, (i.e. allergies, medication, behavior, instruction etc.) and/or has and IEP or Behavior Plan, please alert the camp staff in letter form and mail it to the school office along with the required forms.
  • Pope John Paul II Academy Summer Camp will not dispense or administer any medications to participants. If it is medically necessary, with the prescription of a doctor, for a child to take medication during camp hours, then they must be willing and able to self administer the medication with staff supervision.  
  • In the event of sickness or injury, Pope John Paul II Academy Summer Camp will determine if a participant is too sick to stay at camp, and will call the parents/guardians to come pick up their sick child if needed. In the event of a serious illness or injury, if the parent/guardian cannot be reached in time, the child may be transported to nearest Hospital for immediate care and treatment.
  • In the event of an emergency, the Camp Director will have camp staff evacuate their campers from the building. Staff will bring all campers to designated safe areas outside the building while the problem is resolved. Parents/Guardians will be notified if necessary.
  • Staff Requirements --- All course instructors are faculty members of Pope John Paul II Academy. All camp support staff must have background checks before working at our Summer Camp. Course instructors are CPR and First Aid Certified.

 
Drop-off/Pick-up Procedures


  • Drop-off and Pick-up will occur in the school gym. Parents/Guardians are required to come into the gym to sign their child in and out.
  • Doors to the facility will open at 8:00 am for those registered for the morning Extended Day Program.
  • Sign In/ Sign Out --- All participants must be signed in/out when they are dropped off/picked up.
  • Participants are NOT allowed to sign themselves in or out, regardless of age.
  • A Summer Camp participant will not be released to someone who is not his/her parent/guardian, or who is not listed on the Pick-up Release Form.
  • If a camper is dropped off 15 minutes before the start of the course/program they are registered for, or picked up 15 minutes after the completion of the course/program they are registered for, then the Camp reserves the right to impose an extra charge of $15 as part of our Extended Day Program.
  • Children may be dropped off up to 15 minutes prior to their scheduled course(s). We encourage arriving early as it will ensure that all classes start on time. Additionally, there is a 15 minute grace period for picking students up. 


Extended Day

  • Extended day is offered on a daily basis for campers at the following times: 9 am - 10 am (morning care), 12 pm - 1 pm (afternoon care), and 4 pm - 5 pm (evening care). We have multiple registration options:
    • Option 1: Pay as you Go: $15 per hour due at pick-up​
    • Option 2: Weekly Extended Day 5 HOUR Punch Pass: $50 (may be used for: morning, afternoon, and/or evening care)
    • Option 3: Weekly Extended Day 10 HOUR Punch Pass: $90 (may be used for: morning, afternoon, and/or evening care)
    • Option 4: Weekly Extended Day ALL ACCESS Pass: $125 (includes: morning, afternoon, and evening care)
    • Option 5: Two Week (both sessions) Extended Day ALL ACCESS Pass: $200 (includes: morning, afternoon, and evening care)
  • Extended day is located in the Pope John Paul II Academy gym. Participants may bring a book or toys. Balls and sports equipment will be provided.


What to Bring


  • Backpack (with name written on the inside)
  • Pens & Pencils
  • Water bottle (filtration stations are available)
  • Healthy Snacks and Lunch (if staying for the Extended Day afternoon care)
  • Medications if medically necessary and prescribed by a doctor


What to Wear


  • Comfortable clothing is best
  • Light sweatshirt if needed (all classrooms are air conditioned)
